Our commitment to enhancing safety practices has led us to adopt this innovative collar-free approach, and we couldn’t be more excited about it.
Why Go Collar-Free?
You might be wondering about the safety concerns associated with collars in group play. Here are a few reasons why a collar-free environment is beneficial for your pup:
- Reduced Risk of Injury: Dogs grab collars during play, leading to potential injuries or unfair play dynamics.
- Preventing Loss: Tags are prone to being pulled off and can easily become lost or, worse, ingested by another dog.
- Avoiding Tangles: Collars can get caught on another dog, especially during playful interactions, which could lead to injuries or strangulation.
Additionally, we understand that many of our clients invest in high-quality collars and tags. With a collar-free policy, we help prevent damage or loss of these valuable items in a group setting.
How Do We Identify Dogs?
At Bark U, we maintain close relationships with our canine guests, which makes identification easy! We keep complete profiles with photos and detailed information for each dog. For our new guests or look-alikes, we utilize our microchip readers and store every dog’s microchip number in our system.
Microchipping Services Available
To further enhance safety, we require microchips for all dogs enrolled in daycare, lodging, and training. We proudly offer low-cost microchipping services for dogs not yet chipped. Now, every pup is easily identifiable and can return home safely. For more information on microchipping, check out our dedicated blog post!
Our collar-free approach commits us to providing a safe and enriching environment for all our pups!
