At our purpose-built King of Prussia facility, every part of the experience is designed around dogs’ comfort, activity, and rest—welcoming families who are willing to travel for thoughtful, premium overnight care.
We love the new BARK U facility and everything it has to offer. My boy runs to get in there and never wants to leave. He enjoys the new larger lodging space all of the extras like desserts. We recently tried the waterpark for the first time and he enjoyed romping around and cooling off with his friends. The value for the care that they receive can’t be beat!

Signature Lodging FAQs
What are the prerequisites to board my dog at BARK U?
Along with all the proper vaccinations, we require assessments for all dogs that come to our facility—except for those under 5 months old. These assessments give us the opportunity to meet you and your dog, answer any questions, and ensure we fully understand all the expectations and needs you have for your pup.
This process is all about making sure your dog has the best experience while staying with us! Whether it’s cozy cuddle time, exciting play sessions, or any other activities they enjoy, we want to tailor their lodging experience to be as delightful as possible. Plus, it helps us determine if our lodging facility is the perfect fit for your dog’s unique personality and energy!
Additional Requirements:
- All dogs must be miccrochipped and be up to date on vaccinations
- Must be at least 10 weeks old.

What is included in the price for lodging?
Signature Lodging includes your dog’s suite, attentive overnight care, and daytime activity based on their approved play and care plan. For dogs participating in group play, supervised play and seasonal Water Park access are included. Additional suite-specific inclusions vary by room, and optional services such as grooming, desserts, or added enrichment may have separate fees.
What should I pack for my dog’s overnight stay?
- Cozy Lodging Guests may bring 1 cuddle item to make their stay more relaxing.
- Premium Lodging Guests may bring 2 cuddle items to make their stay more comfortable.

**Don’t forget to review our approved Cuddle Items list for the best options.
- All dogs meals and treats from home should be packed in pre-portioned bags for easy feeding (reusable bags are welcome, and we’ll return them after your pet’s stay!). If you’re bringing wet food, you do not have to pre-portion it. Just remember, large containers or bags with multiple meals won’t be accepted.
- Please bring medication in its original container properly labeled. You may put supplements or powders in pre-portioned meal bags.
What is a Cuddle Item?
A Cuddle Item provides additional familiarity and security to dogs while staying in our lodging accommodations in order to maximize comfort.
Acceptable Items:
- Towel/blanket (no larger than a beach towel)
- Tee shirt
- Sweatshirt (no strings)
- Small pillow/crate mat
Unacceptable items include:
- Stuffed toys or pre-chewed items
- Underwear
- Shoes/socks
- Dog beds
Are Cuddle Items required?
No, Cuddle Items are not required. They are offered as an additional ‘home away from home’ option when your dog stays with us for lodging services.
Cuddle Items are not recommended for dogs with a history of ingesting inedible items and/or destructive behavior. If your dog destroys their Cuddle Item, we will remove it from their suite for health and safety purposes.
What if my dog cannot socialize with other dogs or only enjoys a few dogs?
If group play is not the right fit for your dog, our team may recommend Selective Group Play or Private Care so they can stay in an environment that better matches their temperament and needs. Additional fees may apply because these options require more individualized staffing.

Will my dog be in a crate all day?
No. Signature Lodging guests spend much of the day outside their sleeping suite for supervised activity, enrichment, meals, potty breaks, and rest based on their routine and approved care plan. Their suite is primarily a comfortable place for meals, scheduled rest when needed, and overnight sleep. Activities are matched to each dog based on temperament, assessment, and care needs.
